Had any great meals lately—the kind where you go back for seconds, and thirds? Don’t curse that culinary genius the next time you eye your midsection in the mirror. Just consider the simple tip our nutritionist friend Nicole Geurin suggests to put the lid on extra helpings. After your plate is clean, pop some gum or brush your teeth (we grant you, you’ll have to finesse either of these at a dinner party). But think: that blast of cinnamon or mint will likely banish the thought of beef Bourguignon. Even dessert can lose its draw. “It’s also a reminder that you’re moving on—that it’s time to do things other than eat,” Nicole says.
